Of course it has. What? Did you think Konami would suddenly have all of those favoured player likenesses and stadia for its football game? No, instead if you want a football simulator that looks as close to the real thing as possible, you’re going to have to stick with EA and its FIFA Football series.
Thanks to the renewed partnership that was in no danger of falling away at all, FIFA 15 will play host to all 20 Premier League stadiums, and 200 digitally scanned players. The new partnerships extends all the way through to the 2018/2019 season.
“We’re extremely pleased to announce the extension of our partnership with the Premier League, the most played league in EA SPORTS FIFA,” said EA COO Peter Moore. “It brings our award-winning game to new levels of authenticity and realism, and enables fans to immerse themselves in the drama and emotion of the league. And as a life-long Liverpool FC fan, I know exactly how that feels.”
The deal also allows the game makers to employ the new Goal Decision System (yes, Goal Line Technology), utilise authentic Broadcast Graphics, as well as record bonafide match Audio and Commentary. This year’s FIFA, like every year’s FIFA has a large focus on authenticity
Here it all is, in handy video format. FIFA 15 is out for new consoles and PC in September. Remember, if you pre-order an Xbox One before then, you’ll get a code to redeem a digital version of the game for free, which is a quite a nice bit of value for fans.
