EA’s CEO, John Riccitello, has been chatting at a business leaders conference and while he may have said his words were
“no threat against Tigerâ€
The implication is pretty clear. EA were happy to stick with Tiger through his sex scandal and are fully committed to the golfer but only while he is winning.
Now that his form seems to be on an extended holiday EA have decided that it no longer wants to back him unilaterally and John has now stated
“It’s a business relationship on the basis of we make the best golf game and he’s the best golferâ€
and seeing that Tiger is now no longer number 1 on the PGA leaderboard and is in fact winless this year for the first time since time began has clearly gotten EA worried.
John is happy to give him a little more time to get his act together but right now I wouldn’t be placing to much money on a new Tiger Woods game coming out.
Unless that is the man finds his stroke again.

Fortunately, the Tiger is still a youngster when it comes to the world of golf, so he can still theoretically get back on top (lol pun).

Damnit Geoff when I said I had no Internet access and I needed you to find a header image I honestly didn’t think I needed to specify who Tiger Woods was…

Well, it was either this or a picture of an actual Tiger’s Wood (Yes, it’s a euphemism for erect penis and yes, I found one).
Be glad. 😀
