Bethesda have officially announced that the sequel to the highly acclaimed Elder Scrolls series is coming.

Titled Skyrim, it will be the first direct sequel in the series, and will follow the events of Oblivion. The release date has been nailed down at 11/11/11, so we will already be playing it by this time next year. Sweet!

  1. I read somewhere, some places will be selling it on the 1st already and not the 11th, we’ll have to see what happens, not that a few days will make a difference.

Still very excited about this announcement though.

Please, please… PLEASE use a new graphics engine. The Gamebryo engine is so tired. Just let the poor thing sleep.

Oblivion, what a game. Must’ve played it 6 – 7 times. Probably the only game I’ve finished on PC, Xbox and PS3. Looking forward to this.
