A few days ago, Lionhead’s Peter Molyneux paid Epic Games a visit with Milo in tow. Apparently guest presentations to the staff of Epic are a regular thing and this time they were all treated to a live demo of Milo – Molyneux’s Kinect project.
The game was originally showed off at E3 2009 but it is still unclear as to whether or not Milo will ever see the light of day. A few weeks after Molyneux demoed the game at a TED conference this year, it was reported that the project had been cancelled. Since then there’s been no news, until this private showing at Epic.
Cliffy B was present at the showing and his Twitter feed sent out a bunch of comments about what he saw: “Oh shit Milo just curb stomped a snail!†To rub it in even more he later tweeted: “After seeing Milo in person and hearing the pitch (AND if it is allowed to fully shine) it could be like Heavy Rain and Pixar had a baby.â€
So does this mean that Project Milo (or is it still called Milo and Kate?) is back on? I really, really hope so because it was pretty much the only thing that got me excited about Kinect. Bleszinski’s later tweets don’t exactly make me feel any happier though: “And no, I do not know the status of the Milo. We did not discuss thatâ€.

I think epic working on kinect is a very good idea, and will definitely be the only reason i might by kinect. I lol at microsoft, they spend 500 million dollars on marketing kinect, which they expect to 3 million, when move with modest marketing has sold 1 million in the US http://ps3.ign.com/articles/112/1129631c.html#comments_top?p=2&s=ASC

Theres no way people are gonna bye Kinect R3200 for a device that has a very similar to an eyetoy. i don’t think europe/africa is gonna fall for that.

When the consumer goes to the shop the gonna see wii for R2499 move for R699, playstation eye for R350 or kinect for R3200 with xbox, or R1900, the consumer will ask for the cheapest or the best, since most workers will not have played kinect or its a bit too higher grade for them to set up the are gonna definately recommend move over kinect anyday!
in america it is totally kinect!
i expect to see 2 million sales first month or more!

Keep in mind that the kinect bundle for Xbox for 3200 is not upgradable so i doubt any hardcore person would want that ideally.

WRONG: The PS3 camera is called the PlayStation Eye.
WRONG: Kinnect is only similar to PS Eye in the way that Kinnect also has a normal lens. PS Eye has a single, normal, webcam type of lens. Kinnect has an infrared sensor, and is capable of 3D depth perception. It also has 4 mics capable of helping find where a person is and noise cancelation so it can still hear you when you have your movie booming.
WRONG: Kinnect setup is challenging Have you seen how Kinnect sets up? You put it on top of or below the TV, plug it into the Xbox’s rear USB port, and if you have an older Xbox, plug the power cord into it. Then pose in a few positions in front of it. Then it knows you well enough to even log you in by looking at your face. ALL of that information is EASILY findable on the Xbox itself, or online.
WRONG: The Kinect bundle is not upgradable. Every Xbox is upgradable. You can easily put a new hard drive on ANY Xbox system.
Keep in mind that if someone throws shit at the Move, or even the Wii, I will still defend with facts. Fanboy information isn’t worth anything.
But…
RIGHT: Kinnect IS a good idea. I will expand upon that: I think (that means it’s my opinion) the technology is amazing. What you can do with it beyond games literally gives you the Minority Report type of control over your system.

In the link you provided about the Xbox, it clearly says:
Greenberg told us that this 4GB unit “absolutely does have that expansion bay that we have the opportunity to use in the future.”
That means it’s upgradable, if you didn’t realize that yourself.
Wikipedia is not the most accurate place in the world. But still, the very first thing it says at that link is:
“For the PlayStation 3 version of the EyeToy, see PlayStation Eye.”

So if i buy the Xbox 4gb unit next month, and i want to play forza 3, which has a 16gb install to access the whole game, i cannot use a usb flash stick to keep game data, and there is no standalone hard drives anywhere in sight? but in the future there will be???

Could not agree more! Well done Luna! I have Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360. I have no preference over the other (As Mario Galaxy was one of my favourite games, so I include the Wii). I must say on this forum are the biggest and most sensitive PS3 fans that seem to want to slate the Xbox and Kinect. But at the end of the day what are they proving? Every console has something to offer (not only exclusives). But I really enjoyed how you actually backup your arguments with facts instead of just saying “Oh this console is kak because I say so and I cant afford to have 2 consoles so I will slate the one I could not get. Oh I is the smartest in da Wurld”. Not to say the guys slating the Xbox or PS3 don’t have both, but you generally find that if they don’t, they tend to fanbois! My fingers hurt now!

I think personal insults are a bit overdone on the internet, and I try to play it as clean as possible (even when Steve and Aussious insult my manhood… sniff… even if it hurts my pretty butterfly soul 🙁 ), but there’s no real reason to be insulted, since everyone is really portraying a persona. We’re nowhere as stupid or as smart as we like to portray ourself.
lans is actually a pretty cool moustached kid with comic books. Steve is an obese black African lady with 10 kids, Nick is actually a homeless guy who lives under a tree, Geoff is not really Chinese but rather a Mossad spy who has undergone plastic surgery, and is trying to figure out if Fox1 is really Indian and not Arab, easy is really a computer AI (every once in a while he crashes himself into an infinite logic loop), Aussious is really Aussious and Gavin is really a girl with daddy issues, who we’d all like to sleep with. :happy:

oh please steve i play tons of games, im just gonna list the ones i play the most and feel are the most hardcore, from a gameplay,learning curve and skill perspective
i buy every ps3 exclusive that comes, but those games are for me, not for boasting or anything
sure i own and play uncharted 1,2 heavenly sword, warhawk,MGS4, Gears, god of war 3, ff13, motorstorm, but if i am with my friends and im gaming publicly i play completely different games which require much higher skills and cognitive abilities

Demon souls was not rewarding enough for me, and i dont have time to 1000 of times for no reason, the knights with red eyes annoyed me the most! i suppose i could play demon souls co-op and when the world is in light tendency, but that game is beyond me, and truly is hardcore, i fought a boss where i actually bought or it seemed like it thousands of arrows i had to hide in a corner and shoot that flying phantom thingy, after i fought that boss i sold the game. Mad respect for demon souls XD

remember steve there are hardcore titles and there’s also AAA titles. Uncharted is AAA, but not hardcore, Gears is AAA and Hardcore.
Halo is AAA and Hardcore
Alan wake is AAA but not hardcore!
