The latest European sales figures are in. The Xbox 360 price cut has had all the time it needed to take effect and we had GT5 Prologue released.
So lets start with the software sales figures.
1. Gran Turismo Prologue (PS3) 374,607
2. Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 (360) 111,569
3. Wii Sports (Wii) 110,420
The next PS3 title is Rainbow 6 coming in 7th with sales of 50,698 and the next 360 title is way down in 17th spot. Viking: Battle for Asgard battled it’s way to 32,681 hits.
All the spots in the middle are taken up by DS and Wii titles and two PSP titles.
As for hardware
PS3 – 128,813
Wii – 110,421
360 – 77,594
So the PS3 outsold the Wii thanks in large to Gran Turismo, however what is worrying is that the weekly sales for the 360 dropped by 18%. I really thought this price cut would have put a fire into the 360 sales but it doesn’t look like the Europeans are going to take it.

Damm ! What did I say last year … PS3 will dominate in 2008. and thsi is even before the system sellers like LBP and MGS4…

Even if the PS3 is outselling now, it will take a long time for them to catch up unless they start outselling by a 250% margin.
