Darksiders Genesis 1

Look at us! Who would have thought that after eleven months of lows, middles and incredible highs we’d up here? Not me! The year, she is almost over like Grover. After a few months that included the likes of Pokémon, Star Wars and Death Stranding, December is usually the cigarette you light up as you bask in the afterglow of a hot and steamy session with big budget games.

It’s not a complete wasteland mind you, but it is a month wherein other games are dumped, publishers take chances with new stabs at old favourites and Early access kicks off with a bang. The month ahead actually looks rock-solid, the more I look at it: Darksiders Genesis has my attention, Mechwarrior 5 is giving me technolust and Life is Strange is just about ready to call it a wrap on a year-long episodic adventure.

Here’s a look at everything else coming out in the merriest of months:

Apart from Vampires, nothing grabs me. But that’s OK. I too have such a backlog, I might just have to throw in the towel for some games and acknowledge I’ll never finish them!

I love XCom, and Phienix Point is like that. But XCom 2 is on my backlog so how do I justify that? Sigh. And having started ANOTHER Stellaris game (Fanatical Purifiers this time) does take so much time from me ?

Wanted to get Borderlands 3, yet the game with all the cut content(sorry season pass DLC) is a R1200 instead of a R1800. So much for the “Sale”

Man, I was hoping to get that but nevermind at that price. Will wait for the 80% sale on Steam.

Epic store has been good to me, but also, not really.

There’s something about Ashen that speaks to me… I think it might be doing the right sort of mating dance and call: role-playing game (oooh), open-world (oooooooohhh)… and a multiplayer that can be ignored (yeeeeeeeeeess)

A pretty meh-ish lineup. The only game I have any interest in is Ashen, but sometimes that’s a good thing. The backlog needs to be tackled, and with the price of games getting out of control, it might actually be a good idea to let the cc rest a bit.

I bought ALL the BattleTech DLC yesterday on sale, so I got my December gaming sorted for my GIANT ROBOTS fix

Flashpoint and Urban Warfare both looked very meh so never bothered waiting to see the responses on Heavy metal before making the jump.
