Facebreaker

Damnit, I really was hoping this game was going to be good and I was even okay with the demo because EA still had time to improve the imbalances.

However it seems that they haven’t done that and have released a horribly flawed game. IGN has just released their review and given it a 5/10 which is fantastic since EDGE magazine slammed it with a 3…

This will be quite a hard blow for EA to take as Facebreaker was their first title out their new ‘FreeStyle’ department and had high expectations hanging on it.

Hopefully EA doesn’t throw in the towel though as I think they have the ability to release some awesome free style games…

If you were wondering the game is being slammed because of gaming imbalances… that’s it really. Cheap moves, lucky shots and general lack of skill required.

Yeah, the game has apparently ended up being an unblalanced, button mashing mess.

It’s really unfortunate. When I’d heard it was being made by the Fight Night round 3 devs, I was hoping for a fun game that would bring back the magic of Ready 2 Rumble, coupled with the deep fighting mechanics of the aforementioned Fight Night.

Lazy I now use your expectation levels for games exclusively to make game purchases. The higher your anticipation the lower it goes on my list. 😉

Yeah, how he copes with the disappointment is beyond me 🙂 . Personally, I would have much rather prefered they didn’t waste time and got straight to Fight Night Round 4. It’s what the people want.

Oh, also, can someone remind me what the difference between EA Big and EA Freestyle is? I think probably nothing other than a name change 🙂 .

Isn’t this the very definition of a casual game?

Cheap moves, lucky shots and a general lack of skill?

I was really hoping that this game would be a cartoony humorous take on fight night. The idea sounded awesome but from the moment I saw the first gameplay trailer I realised that I would be let down.
