If you’ve never played the Fatal Frame, or Project Zero games as they’re known in these parts, then you’ve missed some of the most terrifying and chilling puzzle adventure games from the PlayStation 2 era. Project Zero 2 was re-released on the Wii not too long ago, so there’s little excuse, unless you’re a giant sissy. In it, you play the game using a camera to find and dispel ghosts. The series is making a grand return on perhaps the most perfectly suited bit of gaming hardware available. Yes, the Wii U.
There’s very little information on the game at the moment, but according to Gematsu’s army of impish translators, Tecmo Koei and Nintendo are working together to bring Fatal Frame to the Wii U.
I’d imagine that it would work very similarly to ZombiU, with the Gamepad actually proving to be a vital, and useful addendum to the gameplay. You’ll probably end up using the Gamepad as the fabled Camera Obscura, seeing things in its smaller screen that you don’t on the main TV screen. I imagine it could be tense, and terrifying, and probably the first game to really effectively use the Gamepad to enhance gameplay since Ubisoft’s apocalyptic survival horror.
The series will also be treated to some transmedia fluff; a novel and a live-action film are coming, but I don’t really go in for that stuff. I like my games to be games – not TV shows, films, books and comics. Back to the topic though; I think the Wii U is the perfect home for Fatal Frame if it’s done correctly.

Petulant high school student Patrick Farves was suspended this week after asking Nina Davuluri, aka Miss America, to the prom while she was making an important speech about the importance of diversity in tech fields. No mention of Carboneyeliner’s subordinate in the review? For such a small town they’ve got a damn fine Sheriff’s office. She’s almost too good. I’m liking that tension build as Guyliner has yet another plate he’s got to keep spinning keeping her under control. Without missing a beat, he pulls out statutory rape committed by a dead woman to protect Norman from an investigation.
Curious about his sudden concern for the guy he framed for Blue Fairy’s murder. It’s like he wants all the answers, not to act on but to file away for future reference.

On Breaking Bad if you think you’re safe by arranging in advance a meeting in public at a specific time, you’re wrong- Nick Ford in that universe would hang inside the pizza place so witnesses spot him for an alibi while his men grab Dylan before he ever enters. Then we tune in next week and both Bates boys are hostage.

I think Todd’s a bit too hard on the drug thing. I mean 18 episodes in and this thing is finally going to hit critical mass then hopefully say goodbye. It had to take up a bigger part of the show sooner or later.
Guyliner would make a good babysitter for Norman while Norma’s out on a date but get rid of George. All future dates should be with Christine. I’ve tried to make a family friendly nickname for the guy to add to our database but the one I keep coming back to will probably get a ban. Get rid of George, Norman.

This would work GREAT with the gamepad. If you’ve played ZombiU you’ll know how nerve racking and immersive the gamepad can be when you have to look at it in real time in a tense atmosphere. Kinda pissed that i missed out on the wii version now.
