So it’s all finally done and dusted. Battlefield 3 is out, Modern Warfare 3 is out… they both sold a friggin’ truck ton of copies, although one sold more than the other pretty significantly.
So now we ask ourselves, did EA and DICE’s plan of taking on the behemoth franchise that is Call of Duty pan out in the end or did it land up being a giant fail. Putting your release dates so close to your much more powerful, popular and successful rival is one hell of a risk.
Did the risk put them in the spotlight enough to boost their brand and sales significantly, or do you think some distance would have served them better?
