It’s Friday again which means it’s time for our regular Flamebait Friday Debate but today’s a little different as the question isn’t itself flamebait but rather whether we, as gamers, support the flamebait being created by developers.

For example, next week the biggest driving simulator of the year is being released (Forza 4) and Polyphony Digital, the brains behind GT5, have chosen that week to release their latest update to their driving simulator instantly causing a million GT5 vs Forza 4 articles to be written.

It’s not only limited to driving games however with EA launching Battlefield 3 just 2 weeks before Modern Warfare 3 hits the shelves and once again causing fanboy fights to explode.

Is this sort of competitive marketing a good thing in your eyes?
