FFD: How many games do you juggle?

1 min read

Darryn just plays with his balls.

This week, I realised I’m inundated with games. I’m not complaining; It’s just that I’m juggling far too many games at the moment. I seem to have so many games that I start them all, and then jump around instead of focusing on just the one.

Right now, I’m a few hours in to Ni No Kuni, I’m playing through Batman: Arkham Oranges, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, my second play-through of inFamous and a game for review that I can’t talk about.

I think it’s time to focus on just one game at a time.

Do you do the same? Do you juggle between a bunch of games across several genres, or are you more likely to stick to just one game, plough your way through it, and then move on to the next?

I figure many of you have a single player game you’ll play, and a multiplayer game and you’ll jump back and forth between, but do you play more than that?

Same here. Can’t wait for one to end to start the next. Finished Lightning Returns last night while juggling Dark Souls 2, Tales of Xillia, Zone of Enders HD and Child of Light. Does anyone here keep buying new games and just can’t resist stopping your current game to play it?

LOL Arkham Oranges, I can’t juggle more than a couple. Planetside 2 never ends. Still busy with Child of Light,Strike Suit Zero and Strider on the PS4. Still jamming Borderlands 2 on the PS3. Haven’t turned on my Vita in a while… Luckily Second Son is done and dusted (don’t care about DLC) so I can trade that in.

I juggle, but not frequently. I am busy with another play-through of Dragon Age Origins, my first on Sleeping Dogs, and of course NBA2K14. I have been neglecting the other two in favour of NBA, but they are still next to my console. I will once in a while stop NBA, play one of the others for a week or so, then go back to NBA.

I have a main game that I focus on at any given time with a few on the side if I don’t feel like jamming whatever my primary is at that time

I usually juggle 2, maybe 3, tops. At the moment it’s Rise of the Triad & LA Noire, with session of Beat Hazard Ultra or PinballFX2 thrown in for when I want to waste a couple of minutes with light gaming.

At times I have the bad tendency to get distracted so there’s a few others that remain unfinished.

FTL and the old SEGA games are ones I keep going whenever I feel like a break, and then I usually have one playthrough going. If a game is boring though I have the tendency to start something new and then it eventually gets its local content deleted and thrown on my games-not-to-revisit list.

Well, I have a few to play but I am pretty good at focusing on just the one. To me it’s like reading many books at the same time. I know that different moods require different materials, but I like to follow the story and get lost in it, not sit wondering why the Chinese dude doesn’t have a dragon to fly on in Sleeping Dogs.

I only very rarely juggle 😛 I tend to want to focus on one game at a time. The only time I really juggled were in holidays where I sometimes spent a whole week just gaming. Then I’d take a break from one game to play another. (eg. the great Fallout 3 – Arkham Asylum juggle of 2011)

I refuse to juggle more than 3 games at a time.
Dota 2 is my staple game.
picked up the starwars force unleashed games, so im working my way through those.
and a friend gave me a beta key for that Dead Island Epidemic game, which is on my list to work on as a co-op game.

but in terms of SP, I dont juggle, i dedicate my SP efforts to one at a time.

If you’re gonna juggle, you’re gonna have a bad time. Atleast that is how I find it. If I juggle I don’t enjoy the games and don’t focus on the story. Unless it means a SP game and a MP game for some pew pew. In that case juggling is cool. Right now I play the Witcher and only that, because I dont have internet like a peasant.

I think Far Cry 3 was the last game I focussed on completely. Otherwise I suffer from a horrible case of ADD. Usually start playing some older games again to mix it up a bit.
Currently there’s just nothing new to play.
So it’s Sleeping Dogs (3rd playthrough. Love that game)
Marlow Briggs (because I never played it)
    Far Cry 3 (2nd playthrough)
    Dante’s Inferno (2nd playthrough)
    Dark Souls 2
All this will change when Watchdogs finally arrives.

Right now I am concentrating on trying to just play one game at a time. I do get a little bored on occasion in which case I switch out to another game and then come back to the earlier game perhaps and complete – usually the harder difficulty or something, wrap up all gold medals, that type of thing.

I went through a stage where I would play a few at a time but ended up not having as much fun as you lose where you are in story, game mechanics, etc.

I juggle too much. In a few rare cases, a game entices me enough to sit through it, and then wonder what I must do with my life once I am finished, but I mostly juggle. Different genres too: sandbox, shooters, rpg, etc. And I jump back and forth with Ghosts. Right now…I am not playing anything. Awaiting Watch Dogs.
