FFD: What games will you still be talking about in 5 years?

Today’s FFD comes to you courtesy of Erwinn(nnn) Kempff. With all of this week’s terrible news, I’m too sad to even pretend to be confrontational. Instead, let’s discuss something more positive. there are great many games, from the past, that people still can’t help but yammer on about whenever gaming is talked about; titles like BioShock, Chrono Trigger, Half Life and the like – years after release.

What more current games do you think people will still be talking about in 5 to 10 years? I know I’ll still be talking about Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite, and probably will still mutter things about Half Life and Half Life 2 – mostly because we’ll still be waiting for 3.

What games do you still think will dominate conversation in the years to come?

Actually yeah, Dishono(u)red. It may not have lived up to expectation but it did show that a new IP can be successful and breath new life in to a genre.

I honestly hope the new Thief will prove that as well

    – Dark Souls (I’ll probably show that game to any future son or daughter)
    – Bioshock and Inifnite
    – Red Dead Redemption
    – Ni No Kuni
    – Gears’ mp (“Remember that game we raged with so much?”)
    – GTA IV

But those are mine, none will dominate any kind of conversation…

We’ll be discussing how the latest MMO is nothing like WoW. EA will still be evil. CD Projekt would have yet another GoTY under their belt. AND how the new generation is the most important and revolutionary one yet.
PC will still be the most powerful gaming tool. And it is possible the Peter Molyneux will either bring out a great game, or get tried for fraud in a court of law.

I absolute love that game, and hope that they don’t can the next one because they thought they will sell 10 million of this current one…. Because I want more of this Lara… (Not meant in a sexual way, get your mind out of the gutter) And I will be playing Full Throttle and Resident Evil 2 probably then for the 100 and 150th time

“My name is Marcos..I’m from Brazil..I’m 23 years old..I was a child grew up very poor..where many people have suffered and I could not do anything but watch..grew up keeping in mind that one day would the savior of these people and only God and my soul knows how much I suffered and struggled so far..and I will continue fighting..and since I found this story I? clung hard and learned a lot..Chrono actually made ??me a person better and stronger..like I’m the chosen one..Believe in yourself..”

    For me Personally

    The Wins:

Deus Ex HR: For living up to its predecessor
Far Cry 3: Being Epic and beautiful sandbox
    Tomb Raider: For Epic Reboot.
Saints Row 3: For being a lunatic.

    Fails:

    Diablo 3: DRM decision
Diablo 3: Launch day DRM mess
    Sim City: Repeating History
COD: Being prime example of Copy and Past job.
