You went full remake. You NEVER go full remake!

So you’ve played the original game, you’ve watched the rad film, busted your bank account with the PSP games and wailed in despair after realising how much time and cash you wasted on Dirge of Cerebus. What’s next for the hardcore Final Fantasy 7 player?

Why not play that game all over again? On PC!

With a level of precise milking that can only be labelled as Capcomish, Square Eniz is once again trotting out their beloved franchise game, but at least this time, they’ve got the decency to throw in a couple of extra features.

Talking to VG247, Square Enix says that this version of the game will now have “a host of new online features”, achievements and a “Character Booster”. “With the Character Booster you can increase your HP, MP and Gil levels to their maximum, all with the simple click of a button, leaving you to enjoy your adventure,” Square Enix said.

Cloud saving will also be present, while the game itself will need the following specs to run decently;

  • Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 (32/64-bit)
  • 2GHz Processor or faster
  • 1GB RAM
  • DirectX 9-compatible graphic card

So there you have it FF fans, the game, while not revamped in a manner that would kill the franchise, is still getting some tweaks, when it eventually releases through the Square Enix website.

Maybe now, they’ll finally get to work and re-release Final Fantasy 8 and 9, the underrated entries in the franchise, if this one performs well.
