Final Fantasy VII Remake and Luigi’s Mansion 3 won big at the E3 2019 Game Critic Awards

E3 2019 may not have too many games to show off this year but…Actually wait that’s pretty much it. There’s no half-ass joke here folks. I’ve half-assed the half-assery. I’ve basically gone whole-ass. Anyway, As is the usual every year, the Game Critics Awards pop up and declare their best of show nominees, with a list of winners following shortly afterwards.

A collective of professional outlets, iiiinfloooooooencers and other jerks that won’t let us in their elite club just because we refuse to use deodorant of any kind, the group had dozens of games to look at and vote for this year. Much like the far superior Critical Hit E3 Awards which takes things a step further and sends a hollowed out two litre Coca Cola bottle turned upside down and filled with Chappies so that it looks like an actual award, the votes this year were all based on one key rule when it came to playable kudos:

That each game had to offer at least five minutes of thumbs-on action, which resulted in certain games losing out in categories where they’d have been a shoo-in to win. Here’s the full list below with the winners in bold. If you’ll excuse me, I have a Las Vegas bookie wanting to rearrange my kneecap after I placed a large bet for Cyberpunk 2077 to win the “Most likely to release in 2019” award.
