Final Fantasy XIII Box Art Revealed

FinalFantasyBoxArt

Not being much of a Final Fantasy fan I can quite happily say that this new, calmer, box art is far more appealing to me over the chaotic mess that Final Fantasy games normally ship with.

But seeing as that rabbid gamers will get themselves worked up over just about anything I can’t see how there isn’t going to be a few complains (and petitions) over the new box art with threats of refusing to buy the game they so dearly love unless this atrocity is resolved.

Then some enterprising soul will come up with the wonderful idea of printing their own box art sleeves and the Internetz will rejoice and peace will rule the land once more.

What say you? Should we rise up and revolt or do we really not care about the box art?

And stop trying to look up her skirt, do you think the immaturity of the Xbox 360 followers is being demonstrated here with the flashing of more flesh for the 360 version?

Hmmmm wasnt the boxarts always very chilled?

All the FF games I own simply has The name on a white background and nothing else…

    Maybe its a regional thing

I think Evony has raised the bar for other legitimate game makers – gotta have girls with minimum clothing on the front.

I agree. The box art has always been chilled. I always liked the minimalist look of the previous art. I still can’t beleive that this is a multi-plat though. I think I will inport the Japanese version. Like most anime etc, listening to the original japanese is always that much more rewarding.

the only reason you guys like subs is because u cant tell if its bad voice acting then 😛

And plus i also feel a bit weird looking at a FF cover that is “Chilled” or what not…. Guess making a change every now and then will probably benefit the company, showing their moving in a new direction

All FF except the PS2 ones had subtitles and no voice acting. FFX, FFXII, FFX-2 had quite good voice acting. The experience tend to be different when listening to the original Japanese voices. I like change, but the clean neat box art of the older titles always said this is going to be a great fantasy and love story. Maybe demographics has changed and they hoping to attract a bigger audience.

The Xbox 360 version of course, it will have sex scenes, bigger guns and cheeseburgers, and instead of the usual Final Fantasy jingle when you win a battle, you will get either the first part of the US national anthem, or the hooter from Dukes of Hazard

afaik, (FF-fanbois please correct me if i’m wrong)
360 version will not have the Japenese voice track. PS3 version will have it.

So those who want Jap voice/Eng subs, will not be able to do that on the xbox.

i beg to differ on quality though.. dont you guys remember a couple of months ago when a certain FF 13 had to be scaled down? … Like take away certain parts of the terrain, and crap like that. I think that was for the 360 version.

I can hear the 360 guys already when its released

“When i opened my cd case the disc were like laying every where… now i cant play further seeing my xbox wont recognize the disc..” kinda crap

If you have a 360 then get 360 Ver.
If you have a PS3 then get PS3 Ver.
If you have a 360 & PS3 then get Wii Ver.
    Problem solved.

      More like

If you have a 360 then get 360 Ver, then rave about how much better it is than the PS3 Ver (even though you’ve probably not even tried it)

In my opinion, if you have both consoles, go for the Playstation 3 version. Not only is it the primary development system but Blu Ray should make things simpler (even though I have no problem with swapping a game disc once every week…)

I’m still glad that such a great franchise is going multiplatform, it’s better for everybody.

having XBL doesn’t always mean MP, some times it’s stats/leaderboards, etc. might even be similair to Fable 2 where you just see other people in the world (I doubt it though)
