Footage of the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3 has been conspicuous by its absence. We got a ton of PC footage, and even some PS3 footage when DICE demonstrated the co-op onstage at Gamescom using Sony’s console. Last week, some horribly low resolution footage of a preview build showed up online – which understandably annoyed the hell out of DICE – who prefer showing off their stuff in a more professional manner.

Well, now there’s some official Xbox 360 footage from DICE, in this Operation Guillotine trailer. From what my untrained eyes tell me, it looks pretty damned good for something running on nearly 6 year old hardware – possibly pushing the console near its limits. Best of all, it looks like it runns at a rock-solid, unwavering framerate. Sure, the console versions don’t allow for the 64 player Conquest mode that the PC version has, but  other modes on all systems are capped at 24 players. What do you think? Does this change which platform you’re getting the game for?
