Next to Halo, the Gears of War franchise is one of Microsoft’s hottest properties. It’s a no-brainer then that they will be looking to Gears of War 3 to reinforce the dominance that they hope to achieve with the release of Halo Reach.
The first screenshots of Epic Games’ third title in the series have been revealed in scans of a Russian gaming magazine and are as beautiful as you would expect. Not only do we get to see the first screens, but we also finally get to take our first good look at some of the new and menacing looking enemies as well.

Most bullet proof vests only protect the chest, it doesn’t make sense restricting your movement by having full body armour all the time

Looks awesome actually … BUT! Will it be next to bug free? I dont even wanna know the pressure MS is putting on them to rush this out. Like they did with GOW2 giving us the crappiest online multi player EVER!!!

They’ve certainly let themselves go (I suppose it’s a price to pay, when fighting a war for your species’ survival). Granted muscle definition is hardly proof of a man’s power or awesomeness (after all, I have a glorious one-pack, and I’m awesome), but it’s a bit sad to see that Marcus and Dom have my mother’s flabby arms… 😮 :wassat:

I couldn’t agree more dude. I actually preferred Dom over Marcus in Gears of War I, but that “certain incident” in GOW2 really ached my man beans. Why couldn’t they rather emasculate Marcus? It would have been more plausible, given the daddy issues he has, and it’s not like we haven’t seen an annoying overly emotional protagonist before (who eventually hardens the f up). But… with Dom becoming a sack of man tears, it just seems more likely they’ll kill him off in the next game. 🙁
