So after the local PR and media disaster of the GT6 embargo yesterday we can get back to normal life and get back to reporting on the facts of the matter and not simply opinions and feelings.
Nah who am I trying to kid, it’s about opinions and feelings, if you wanted facts you’d actually read press releases.. and be the only person on the planet who reads that rubbish.
So Gran Turismo 6 was officially revealed last night along with this super sexy prepped video.
Which while looking incredible doesn’t really show us much about the game itself, thankfully Sony aren’t being overly protective over the title this time and allowed the media at the event to take some direct capture video to show off.
Which is exactly what the guys at GTPlanet have done and here we have a full 5 minutes of true gameplay including replays and the all new sexy suspension system.
If you missed all the finer details of what the new GT6 will include then stop stay calm and click here, we’ve got you covered.
So Xbox fans, are you impressed or is Forza still a better simulator? PlayStation fans, is this enough of a leap from Gran Turismo 5 to make you head out and pick it up or are you going to wait for the inevitable PS4 version to be released? But wait that’s not all.. for being so beautiful/handsome this morning I’ve decided to throw in three off screen images sneaked out of the event for free and for nothing. Here you go

Love the trailer, but I call fake. None of those cars went of the road like a real GT game

Please what ever you do, don’t release the crappy prologue again and make us wait years for the real version!

It doesn’t look like it’s progressed at all…GT cars always appear to float in the air than be solid on the ground like Shift… Disappointed…

I don’t know hey. The game doesn’t look that amazing. I’m a PC player though so I can’t really try to compare to what I know especially considering that the PC mostly has arcade style racing games.
But if I look at the trailer and then the gameplay footage it just doesn’t look like the same game. Perhaps if they guy wasn’t racing alone and there were other cars it would have a better feel to it?
Who was at E3 last year? What was the racing sim they had near the middle there where everyone was flocking around? That was fun and looked good.

forza horizons?
the suspension thing in this looks amazing, but too much simulator, not enough fun. It makes driving look boring. I took my car around killarney race track once, and it was FAR too awesome, much more fun than how this game looks and the last game was.
forza looked like it had a nice balance between fun and simulator.

might as well, and all the work I’ve done on GT5 and I still cannot carry it over to 6, might as well play with 5 until 7 / 8 comes out.

Even sounds like GT5, same menu sounds, same turbo spool sound, same dumpvalve sound, same crap curb sounds, carp engine sound… GT5.1 maybe…

that bothers me, if every car doesnt sound like a v8/v47 super turbo charged, i dont want to play it.

Aaaaaaaand the cars still sound like shit…/sigh. I want them to show a vid where they drive an C63 AMG (or something to that effect), and I want it to sound like a V8 Merc. In my opinion, it’s the main flaw to GT…if they can get the car sound effects real, I’m sold…

The C63 in GT5 sounds great as long as you keep the stock exhaust. As soon as you upgrade it though, it loses that magic sound.

Carmageddon 1 was one of my favourite games ever!
And to your question, I guess to each his own. 🙂

Carmageddon with the Splat Pack… epicness!!! I like some racing games… they have to be challenging, but not freaking impossible. Some racing games you go from Easy to Medium difficulty and you can’t stay on the road for anything.
But yeah each to his own.

I can’t stand racing games. They feel like interactive screen savers to me.

If the car doesnt have a front mounted flame thrower, gattling guns and missle launchers, I’m not interested.
Also the GT series makes it impossible to launch your vehicle into the spectator pavilions.

8 hours sleep for old farts
2 hours Fossil farting the planet to death
10 hours hunting with a mouse
2 hours washing cleaning cooking
2hours GAME TIME!!!… GRUMPY AS FUCK. I wish I was a school kid again. Just stay in the same clothes all night and go to school after a 12 hour gaming session. GOOD TIMES.

TBH it looks too arcade for my liking. Personally I like being punished for mistakes like misbrakes. Ah well.

Here’s the dilemma for GT Fans. They could by GT6 on PS3, wait for the PS4 version or start of fresh with Drive Club on PS4. The difference between the PS3 and PS4 could end up being night and day.
