First Taste Of GT5 Coming To PSN This Month

An announcement was made on the EU Playstation blog that may get some of you a touch excited.

On the 17th of December a Gran Turismo time trial demo will be released on PSN to set this years GT Academy in motion. The best part? While there is no mention of it on the EU blog, the US blog states that this time trial will contain the first GT5 physics code. That means that this will actually be your first chance to test out what GT5’s new engine is actually going to feel like.

The GT Academy itself is of course the program that is run where fast virtual drivers could eventually be earning themselves a seat behind a real race car in a real racing team. Only 20 are taken in from around the world. Unfortunately it looks like South Africa isn’t on the list of countries that the GT Academy will be running in.

Don’t worry about not getting the demo though, as the blog says the following:

“However gamers in countries not mentioned on the list need not fear as there will be a special Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial Challenge for them to get to grips with it, too.”

There is no indication about the size of the download yet but stay tuned for more news.
