Bungie and Infinity Ward are both known for their ability to pump out incredibly successful first-person shooters, being the creators of Halo and Call of Duty respectfully.
Two hot topics this week are that with regards to Activision, Infinity Ward is out and Bungie is in. It’s all a little complex right now, as Infinity Ward has lost all of the members that actually made the team what it is. Bungie on the other hand have only signed a publishing deal with Activision, meaning that no IP’s or souls have changed hands just yet.
So let’s pretend all of this BS didn’t exist, just for a little while. Reason being, it’s time to let us know your thoughts in this weeks debate.
Bungie and the Halo series go toe-to-toe with Infinity Ward and the Call of Duty/Modern Warfare franchise. Whose games are the best? Let’s hear it.

I personally prefer the Modern Warfare titles but I have to admit that I do stop playing them once the glitches get to much.
The Halo titles don’t seem to suffer from this and I am really hoping the upcoming Halo Reach is finally the Halo game I am desperate to play.
Halo also brought T/FPS titles to the consoles, they get a winning vote purely on that basis for me.
Modern Warfare would never have made it onto the console if Halo hadn’t shown it the way.

Not forgetting the huge number of enemies shown on screen at once in Halo and the vehicle varieties that make battles so much more different.

Despite the fact that I despise the Halo series, Bungie is clearly the superior developer. My reasoning is thus, unlike Infinity Ward, Bungie actually produced an online experience that’s remarkably free of bugs. There are a few niggles but nothing as game breaking as what Modern Warfare 2 experienced on launch, after launch and even still to this day. In addition, Failo actually has a well-thought out back story (it might be generic in places but they clearly put a lot of thought into it), and everything fits nicely in a functional and enjoyable universe. Infinity Ward’s creation, although loosely based on current events, was poorly executed, with plot holes to make Roland Emmerich’s nipples go erect. It had potential, but the story was clearly an afterthought or perhaps for lolz?
Just for the record, I consider both Bungie and Infinity Ward incredibly OVERRATED, but it’ll be interesting to see what Bungie can produce under the corrupted umbrella of Activision or what Ex-IW can produce under the bipolar EA.
My guess would be more of the same.

Bungie wins.
The online stats system, the care they use when they craft a game, it all kills anything IW ever did.
Halo is Polish. Lots of Polish.
Might not be prettiest, but sure are smoothest.
