For those who like a rip-off : New DLC for Shaun White Snowboarding

You know those people who constantly whinge about DLC being content that was left out intentionally or rubbish content simply to extract more money out of those who don’t know any better so the more money can be extracted from gamers healthy pockets? In some cases, they are wrong and should be hit in the head with a spade, but here they will puff out their chests and gloat.

Ubisoft has released the ‘Glamour Pack’ for Shaun White Snowboarding. This pack costs 400 MS points or 5 euros on PSN. Here’s a list of what is in said ‘Glamour pack” :

7 Pants
7 Coats
4 Tuques
4 Gloves
4 Boots
4 Goggles
14 Snowboards
2 Bindings
3 Backpacks

I’m not making this up, that’s it. No new courses or other useful stuff. Just some garbage that has no effect on the game whatsoever. Ubisoft, you have been making some top quality games lately, please continue doing that and for the love of all that is good do not let your marketing department get hold of your ‘upload garbage to PSN/XBL’ button.

[Ed] Tihs weird fascination with buying virtual clothing or accessories baffles me entirely. Maybe it’s because I am fashionably retarded but I cannot see why anyone would buy a new pair of gloves for a snowboard game, furniture for Home or new glasses for your Live avatar.

this reminds me of that MS points function on NFS undercover. you buy soemthing that will have absoutely no effect on the game what so ever. Just trying to see who are all the suckers desperate enough to go for it

@ eds note – It’s all about people wanting to distinguish themselves from other people, wether its armor, clothes, accessories or whatever, and people lap it up, thats why developers keep releasing content. If gamers as a whole would stop buying the stuff we would see alot less of it.

Shaun should get a hair cut, but he can snowboard like nobody else, so I guess this makes it okay.
