Joseph Staten, according to his LinkedIn page, has returned to Microsoft Studios. Bungie had announced in September that Staten was leaving his role as design director on ‘Destiny’ and leaving Bungie after 15 years to take on “new creative challenges,” as Senior Creative Director at Microsoft Studios. Bungie is set to launch their new IP Destiny on the 9th of September, 2014.
In a statement to Joystiq, Microsoft said that Staten’s role at the studio will be to shape the franchise strategy for some Microsoft Studio titles. They also clarified that Staten will not be working directly on the next Halo game and that 343 Industries will be continuing the Halo franchise in a new direction.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Joseph back to the Microsoft Studios family. Over the past 15 years at Bungie, Joseph has been a key creative force behind some of gaming’s most iconic and celebrated franchises, including Myth II, ONI and virtually every “Halo” game leading up to Halo: Reach. As a senior creative director, Joseph will help create the world’s best entertainment on Xbox”
Staten is an industry veteran and a great writer, so no doubt he’ll make a mark on any IP he works on. It’ll be interesting to see what titles he will be working on next in Microsoft Studios given his Halo legacy. It’s not clear what Microsoft titles he’ll be working on as of yet, but it’s exciting to have such a talented writer and designer move to a different studio to try something new.

I kid you not. This happened:
A girl I worked with had to send an install disc of our software to a client. Trouble is, she confused her disc full of latex porn with the disc she was meant to send to the customer.
A few days later, the customer called and said: “I appreciate the porn, but would love to get on with my work now…”
