If this goes the same way that Gears of War 2 did, we won’t be getting them.
Forza 3 will indeed be launching with a download token in the box that will allow all purchasers to download the free DLC pack that I mentioned above but will we be left out in the dark again?
I have contacted Microsoft for comment on the matter and I really, sincerely hope that after the dust that we kicked up last time about Gears of War 2’s lack of free DLC for South Africa may have been enough for Microsoft to not leave us out again. ( I damn near spoke to half of the head people at Epic Games’ office and they didn’t even know it was happening…)
The good news is that unlike Gears of War 2, Forza 3 does not include gory violence ( I know right… maybe in Forza 4) which basically means that if other ways can be found to get a DLC code, we won’t be region blocked, so no blaming Germany this time… awww.

how much longer will Xbox 360 user in SA allow them self to be sodomised by MS?
I gave up on Xbox live SA a while ago.. one of the reasons I NO LOGER own a Xbox 360..

Well, no Forza 2 content has ever been blocked, i have all the DLC car packs and tracks, and those are to this day still available to us locally…

But the pack-in voucher, much like the one for the Gears 2 flashback maps, will likely not be included.

Yeah but we saw similar with Gears 2 if I remember correctly, they just use the descriptions that are found all over the place. I hope we don’t get shafted again…

Hrmmm, this is true. However, Turn 10 are really upstanding chaps that gift cars all the time, maybe we can email em with our predicament (if that transpires), and see if they can help us out.
Although, seeing as im getting the LE, i will be mighty pissed if it doesn’t have my car pack because it was promised in the LE version…

Same thing happened with Gears of War 2 LE’s and not only that, but Epic themselves didn’t even know that Microsoft had made copies that did not have Live support or branding.

if the Forza 3 LE doesn’t come with the stated content, the local distributors are gonna have alot to deal with.
if anything, i think the onus is on them to see if they can get some clarity on it and ammend their ads with disclaimers (and allow pre-order cancellations)

The flashback maps were also free – to people who bought the game new. The voucher is used as an incentive to buy the game new as opposed to 2nd hand.

Hey, wouldnt it be possible for a person with the collectors addition to simply leak the code to someone without it. then u have the cars without having to pay for them
