There is one game that we know for sure is going to be seeing a lot of screen time this E3 and that’s Microsoft’s GT killer, Forza 5.

So far all we know for sure is that it will be running on the Xbox One and with Sony announcing GT6 is coming to the PlayStation 3 this will be a good measure on how far ahead the next generation of consoles are.

Gran Turismo  6 is expected to be the pinnacle of technical achievement on the PlayStation 3 with the Forza 5 team having in depth knowledge of the Xbox One right from the very beginning. Depending on the end result Forza 5 could be the shining light the Xbox One requires or it could end up convincing people to rather stick around with the existing generation.

All looks the same. Just next gen lens flare. Nothing to see here unless you enjoy your interior view with perfectly round cup-holders.
Moving on… to try and finish FORZA 3 WITH NO SHITTY KINECT HEAD TRACKING!!!

Except that the lens flare in your meme is completely, totally, not Abrams’ flare.

Would have appreciated some more clear footage, but this will do for now. They are probably still fairly early in development.

At least twice during the 20s clip I thought I was watching the trailer for a new Transformers game 😛

Without an oddly rendered Megan Fox model?

NFS Shift was better than both these racers I reckon…Way more realistic and you actually feel your car is on the road instead of floating around the track…

Surprised there has been little to no mention of Drive Club. Drive Club is Sony’s counter to Forza. GT is supposed to be competing in it’s own field as a hardcore simulator, whilst Drive Club and Forza are arcade-simulators.

If you think GT is a SIM you haven’t played a real SIM game. I would say that Forza and GT are both equally SIM-Arcade no matter how Sony tried to sell it

I’m just relaying what their intentions are. No need to pick apart my statements looking for semantics.

” Drive Club is Sony’s counter to Forza” you don’t go around saying things like that on a gaming site dude. Wake up

I’m not stating it as my opinion. They have said that they are pushing Drive Club as an arcade-sim, and GT as a hardcore sim. I’m not even sure why you’re offended enough to tell me to wake up. Chill brah. Nobody’s slamming Forza.

“I’m not stating it as my opinion. They have said that they are pushing Drive Club as an arcade-sim, and GT as a hardcore sim”. SO they never said Drive Club is their counter to Forza ? And I’m not offended dude not in the slightest. I apologize for coming off so harsh duno why I responded like that 😀 Peace ? 🙂

Nope, it was an observation. Forza is classed as an arcade-sim, as is Drive Club. They are both launch next-gen titles. So naturally they are competing more than GT6 is. That was my take-away.

Fair enough, but that only applies to this generation of console, Forza has ALWAYS been a GT competitor and like the first sentance of this article says its a “GT killer”.

I agree. GT don’t believe that though, lol. They think they’re doing their own thing. Who knows, maybe now with drive club, they can afford to go more sim and less arcade to differentiate themselves from DC.

TBH, I have had more fun with GRID 2 than I have with either Forza or GT, so I love the idea of Drive Club, cant wait

Drive Club seems more aimed at the Forza Horizon / NFS Shift crowd. I wouldn’t say that Forza 4 was an “arcade-simulator” though. The level of detail and options available is extensive, ridiculous and incredible.
