Forza Motorsport 4 releases next week and reviews from respected gaming sites are pouring in from around the world to give us the low-down on whether or not Turn 10 have achieved their goal and lived up to their bold claims.

We take a quick look at the reception that Forza Motorsport 4 has received to find out if there is a new king of the road.

I think it would be safe to say that Forza Motorsport 4 is quite liked by the gaming critics of the world and it becomes apparent if you take a look its massive 93/100 Metascore on Metacritic and a 92.35% on GameRankings.

Here’s some scary stats for you. Of the 30 reviews on MetaCritic, 100% of them are positive with six of them giving a perfect score and only 3 (that’s 10%) of the 30 reviews are scored under 90%. Pretty insane stuff, it seems like Turn 10 really nailed what they were going for with the whole “everyone will enjoy it” idea.

Let’s take a look at some of the scores:

  • GamePro – 100
  • Digital Spy – 100
  • Eurogamer Spain – 100
  • Eurogamer Italy – 100
  • Gameblog – 100
  • Destructoid – 100
  • NZgamer – 96
  • Strategy Informer – 95
  • IGN – 95
  • Vandal Online – 94
  • MondoXbox – 94
  • 3DJuegos – 93
  • Game Informer – 93
  • Xbox360Achievements – 91
  • Multiplayer Italy – 91
  • Official Xbox Magazine UK – 90
  • Machinima – 90
  • Telegraph – 90

Ok… I’m going to stop there because every other score is a 90 except for CVG (87), Gamespot (85) and Gamer.no (80) and you know that your game has impressed people when the lowest score in the ratings says:

“Forza 4 gives us the most complete experience of all the Forza games. The physics are better, the multiplayer and career modes are improved and there are more cars and tracks than ever before. But there are few truly new features for the racing enthusiast. Where is the dynamic weather and night racing?”

Sheesh, don’t cut them so deep dude… be professional and all. The burn.

Seriously though, that’s a pretty impressive showing and it looks like anyone who ever liked a car for just a moment in their lives will find a reason to love Forza 4. I will only know for sure once I get my hands on a copy and will then be sure to bring you our very own Forza Motorsport 4 review, so stay tuned.

So, are you convinced? Will you be getting Forza Motorsport 4?
