Dragon age last court

Dragon Age: Inquisition has gone gold. Unlike in music, this isn’t about the number of sales, but rather about the fact that the game is out of beta, discs have been pressed and the game is getting shipped. But there’s a bit of a narrative gap between Dragon Age II and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Don’t worry, there is a free solution to this story-telling issue.

Failbetter Games has announced a partnership with Bioware in the creation of Dragon Age: The Last Court.

The Last Court is a very Failbettery game – text-based, story-driven – set in the Dragon Age world just prior to Dragon Age: Inquisition. As the Huntress or the Scholar you will guide the fortunes of Serault, a disgraced corner of Orlais, through the most crucial period of her history. Will you redeem her ancient Shame? Or will she pass into obscurity?

The text-based adventure game will be completely free and available as part of the Dragon Age Keep. I suppose this will also make use of your previous choices and possibly allow you to make some new ones along the way. It’s nice to see Bioware addressing the narrative gap between the games so that people don’t feel totally lost. Plus, as a text-based game, I would imagine this story will be released sooner rather than later so that everything is explained before game launches in two weeks. Here is a nice video explaining what it’s all about.

For those without YouTube, you can view the video with painful voiceover work over here.

This should hopefully cut down on extensive exposition at the start of the game, speeding up the time it takes to jump into gameplay and get the ball rolling.

Yes, I know that I am far too excited for this game. It simply looks and feels better and better every time I’ve encountered it. I’m already a fan of Bioware games, and I think this one will be the best they’ve made to date. It had better be – I’m planning on playing it all through the December break.

if you’re going to preorder, its always better to get it sooner rather than later.
I preordered it asap it came out for R450, but the same place is sellign it for R540 now and Origin is up to R600.
same happened to borderlands the presequel.

      prices skyrocket with preorders.

Don’t pre-order… It allows for bad practices from publishers.
Wait for it, let someone like Lazygamer, TB or Angry Joe tell you if it’s good or not and then buy it.

That’s okay, only idiots and the severely mentally disabled have gotten invested in DA’s plot since DA2 anyway.

There’s a reason I’ve personally dubbed this release ‘Hypequisition’.
