So who said that Xbox Live had a 16 player limit? The multiplayer demo for Frontlines: Fuel of War has just been released on Xbox Live and it supports a whopping 32 players.
The downside is that it is 1.11 GB (R75 since we have to pay for bandwidth). However a 32 player warfest with tanks, helicopters and multiple classes seems like a barrel full of fun. So lets take the hit and start that download.
Is this going to be the next big thing?

Got the demo last night, but I haven’t had a chance to play it.
So far comments coming in are quite positive.

Yeah, we know that. Have you ever played a game with 64 players? BF2 had the option it was chaos. There was more TK carnage over who got what then there was actual gameplay! Besides the fact that SAIX cut them down to max 48 peeps because local bandwidth just can’t handle.
32 players is sweet. It may not be record setting, but it’s comfortable. The “big whoop” is more the support for server based games.

Hmm played a bit last night on a shockingly laggy server (US host I believe)
The lag made it almost impossible to get a feel for combat, but otherwise it was pretty cool. The drones are fun and the vehicles a nice change. Graphics aren’t bad at all. Not CoD4 good, but the battlefields are 10x plus the size!
I have one forwarning and that’s that the controls play more like Halo than CoD4, so no iron sights, and no sprinting that I could find.
