Game breaking MW2 Javelin glitch – IW working on it

Modern Warfare 2

Last night I was playing some MW2 and I noticed a guy running around the map holding a Javelin missile launcher instead of a gun which I thought was really odd. Even more surprising is that he managed to kill someone with it as he went around the corner.

At that time I didn’t know about the Javelin Glitch otherwise I could have reported him for cheating. The Javelin glitch is where you can turn yourself into a huge suicide bomber and pretty much become the biggest pain in the ass possible.

Infinity Ward has already announced that they are working on a fix but if you see someone in your game doing this I would recommend simply finding a new game as this is really hard to fight against and is one of the cheapest ways to rack up kills.

Reporting them for un-sportsmanship behaviour would also be recommended.

How’s this worse than knife kill spammers?

I hate them so much as well… but this is actually cheating.

Myabe IW can release a patch that only allows 3 knife kills a round…

Last I looked, suicide bombing is a viable strategy in modern warfare. They should just leave it in, but give an overall (steep) team resource penalty for suicide deaths.

I ran into one of those knife kill spammers last night. They really do take advantage of players with lag. You see em coming and almost can’t do a thing. They are not nearly as bad as the duel sawn-off shotgun wielding guys.

I mostly play International Games, hence the lag issues occassionally. I don’t play in local games anymore.
