Game cross-over cameos; we’re starting to get more and more of them these days. Sometimes they’re believable and the crossover works really well, and other times they’re a bit odd. We’ve had Marcus and Dom make appearances in Lost Planet 2; we’ve had Darth Vader and Yoda pop in on Soul Calibur IV; and we’ve had Guybrush Threepwood recently appearing in The Force Unleashed 2, although that one might fall into the “bit odd†category.
Ubisoft’s multiplayer sporting, sneaky stab-fest Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is going to be getting a cameo. Who? Ooh ooh! The intrigue! Stop reading now if you don’t want things spoiled – although it has nothing to do with the plot, it’s just pretty cool.
It’s Raiden from Metal Gear Solid IV. How apt! He slices and maims people as well after all, so he totally fits into the Assassin’s Creed vibe. Then don’t forget that Altair made a cameo in Metal Gear Solid IV, so this cameo creates a nice sort of symmetry, doesn’t it?
