GameBoy accessory sedates children – seriously

pedisedate

Okay this is easily the most bizarre gaming accessory that I have ever seen.

The PediSedate is a unique looking piece of headgear that pumps nitrous oxide into the wearer while they play games. It has honestly been designed to calm and distract a child before undergoing dentistry or surgery.

Now while I am all for calming me down before dental examinations I do find it slightly disturbing that these sorts of devices exist. Mind you the next time my daughter runs past screaming I may just place an order.

Cool idea, but how does it administer the dosages and
do they really trust non-docters with this stuff?
They do realize that you can OD on nitrous, don’t they?

Ah okay, so it is indeed a doctor-superfized thing.
Didn’t quite get it until i went and read the article
    itself.
But ja, a home-made bong version would have a couple of
mates of mine singing praises from rooftops 🙂

But why nitrous. A gameboy alone would bore me into
    a coma
