Gears of War Movie : Lord of the Rings with Guns

I Hate Him. Len Wiseman, Creator of the Underworld films, gets to wake up every morning next to Kate Beckinsale. I hate him.

As we’ve reported, he will also be helming the Gears of War movie, which depending on the outcome, may make me hate him even more.

In a recent interview with Bloody Disgusting, Kate Beckinsale’s husband revealed that his scope for the film adaptation expands over three films, saying

“The hope is that we’re wanting to do three movies and really cover the bases on everything. Basically a harder edged Lord Of The Rings.”

He does actually have an interest in the game, meaning it should be better than the abysmal Max Payne. Or anything Uwe Boll has been involved with. With regards to how he got involved in the project, he told Bloody Disgusting

“…When I was on [Live Free Or] Die Hard, I had to choose some video game for the background in a scene with Kevin Smith. I was shown about a dozen games and told to ‘Choose one to be in the background’ and I said ‘this one looks really, really cool whatever it is,’ and it was Gears Of War. I just really connected with it; the design of it the world, the whole thing. So I actually brought an Xbox 360 to start researching what it was.”

With no time scale attached to the project, Wiseman is focusing on being the Lord of Kate Beckinsale’s ring. (I mean wedding ring, you perverts). I hate him.

Mmm, underworld movies where pretty lame.

And besides, Kate has told the news that she often reads a book during sex, as she finds it more stimulating.

Do we want that dude to make the movie for us?

    I dont.
