When it comes to studios focused on racing games, there are few better than the legendary Codemasters. Purveyors of fine racing games in sim, arcade and the inbetween segments, they truly are one of the very best developers of games involving vehicles. And now you can get many of those games in the new Humble bundle. There does, however, seem to be quite a bit of repetition, as the bundle is packed with what seems like a hundred and seventy three different versions of F1.
Those who opt to pay the minimum of a single dollar, up to the average price will get:
- F1 2011
- F1 2012
- F1 Race Stars
- Toybox Turbos
Those who shell out more than the average price (which is $7.58at the time of writing) get the above, as well as:
- F1 2014
- F1 2015
- F1 Race Stars season pass
- Grid 2
Lastly, those who part with $15 or more get everything above as well as:
- Dirt Rally
- F1 2016
- Micro Machines World Series
There is also a bit of DLC for the included games, and a discount code for 40% off of…F1 2017 if you just don’t think you’ve got enough F1. There are some really good games there, but the inclusion of seven hundred and forty-eight versions of F1 and a (middling) F1-inspired Mario Kart knockoff make this bundle a little less appealing.

Signs of Humble Bundle’s fall abound. DLCs and Coupons for games that aren’t in the bundle.
Regardless of how much I want F1 2015 and 2012, I’ll give this one a complete skip purely because it holds no extra value for me to get DLC for games that I’m not planning on buying soon.
Coupled with the monthly feature being a mixed rated early access game, the future of Humble Bundle is looking bleak.
It was good while it lasted.

Basically this is a spend $15 or nothing bundle. Minimum and average price deals are really not worth bothering about. Dirt Rally and F1 2016 are both very good and are the only games worth playing if you enjoy sim racing. Just be warned, Dirt Rally is brutal though.

F1 2015 and 2012 are nice options for tracks that don’t appear in F1 2016+ (a lot of people think they’re all just the same game). But I’m not going midway for just those two. GRID 2 isn’t worth the time it took to copy its image onto the bundle page. Dirt Rally is excellent, I absolutely agree, brutal too. One of those games where you need to learn as you go along or it will eat you alive.

Good point about the additional tracks. Didn’t really think of that when I posted. The F1 games are definitely not the same. Now the one I stupidly missed and I would have gotten is F1 2013. Never on special though and it is actually removed from steam. Probably due to the licence for the classic cars and tracks. Sigh.
