Tom Clancy was such a legend. Most of the shooting games and 90s Harrison Ford movies are all because of him, and it’s almost mind boggling to think how he shaped our understanding of military action experiences. Most of you have probably played some of the games loosely based on his work, but now you can grab a whole lot more, and not for a whole lot of money.
The Humble Bundle is a Tom Clancy bundle, and it’s pretty massive. For the low low price of whatever you’re willing to pay over $1, you get:
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six 3 Gold (Raven Shield/Athena Sword)
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas
- Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Multiplayer Beta
Yes, that’s right, you can get into the Rainbow Six Siege Multiplayer Beta just by grabbing this bundle. So, if you’re not sure if Rainbow Six Siege if going to be your game, you can actually try out the beta for $1 while still getting all those other awesome games.
If you feel like spending a bit more, you can grab these games if you pay more than the average (currently about $8):
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2
- Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction Deluxe Edition
- Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell
- Apparently more games coming soon
If you are willing to dish out $10 or more, you can also get Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. There is even a $75 option that gives you all of that and Rainbow Six Siege including a t-shirt, but I doubt any of you would go for that one. Still, it’s a pretty impressive bundle and if you’re missing any of these games from your backlog collection, it could be well worth the money. Plus, you get the feel-good thing of knowing that some of your money is also going to charity, so it’s really a win-win situation.

I noticed that last night. If you look under each game it only gives the Uplay logo, no Steam logo.

Stay far far away. I’ve been working through my games on Uplay to get them off my backlog. Uplay still crashes or just disconnects randomly for no reason while my Steam and Origin is still running perfectly fine.

I have non of those issues on UPLAY.
Captain JJ Fantasticus
September 2, 2015 at 10:25
Well I was playing with other people, we were using Skype to chat with and everyone’s Uplay just disconnected at one time while Skype was still happily going on perfectly. So it’s not just me.

Could be the bandwidth intensity of skype? We always use Teamspeak as it has a very low network footprint.

Well it still doesn’t explain why everyone’s Uplay went offline and kicked them out. And we were playing an MMO, so it’s not like one of us was running the server.

Though now I’m quite curious to try one of those for chat in the future.

Try Teamspeak. Most ISP’s have free servers to join and dedicated gaming channels ( you can also setup your own one for friends, etc).
TS also supports plugins for the more sim games (like Arma 3) that mimics real mic behavior, etc etc.
We have a private TS server, but the MWEB one is also rad (most clans also run their own that you can join when you join their BF4 server etc)
Captain JJ Fantasticus
September 2, 2015 at 10:39
Oh. That sounds like something worth considering.
The plugins sound pretty cool.
Two of my friends are running fiber, so it doesn’t affect them much, but I’m always trying to switch everything off before I game online on my iffy line.

I don’t get that. My usual problem is “servers down for maintenance”. Thankfully I don’t play that many Ubi games.

Brady miaau
September 2, 2015 at 13:47
pity, really. They have the tech on the consoles and playstores and xbox live to do code entries, so it must be commercial reasons.
Also, those bundle prices would then go up a bit, eh.
