The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn’t just about Geralt going from place to place and hooking up with women as he pursues the story. The war hasn’t just ravaged the countryside, it has helped monster numbers soar. It’s a Witcher’s job to kill monsters, so there’s a lot of work to do. Plus it looks incredible. Here is the brand new video showing off gorgeous gameplay.
See, it’s not just called The Wild Hunt for fun – it makes sense. Sure, the main hunt is for Ciri, the witcheress and human weapon, but there’re plenty of other things to hunt and kill on your journey. Plus, there’s a ton of other things to do in the game; with so many activities in the open world, you could easily get lost in the journey. I plan to.
Now to watch that video again and imagine all the different strategies I’ll need to kill all the things. I love that time of day, weather conditions and nearby environmental aspects can impact on how battle with the monsters goes. All in a day’s work for Gerald, and ridiculously fun gameplay for the rest of us.

I just realised what this reminds me of, and why I’m not interested. GTA. Everything about this “Open world sandbox” experience is screaming GTA in a fantasy setting with RPG elements, and that’s why I’m not interested. Holy crap. That makes sense (to me, this is a personal revelation, go away with your opinions, they’re all valid but I will ignore them).

There is going to be over 80 monsters. CDPR really wants you to play the game and get those wow factors. You not going to find it in trailers. A lot of us still view these trailers as spoilers. CDPR knows that. So they are nowhere near showing off the best of the best.

I didn’t want to promote GTA 5 but I have to say, it was real smart of CDPR to troll a GTA 5 trailer. A lot of people would have seen that GTA 5 trailer and GTA 5 sold shit lots and still selling. With GTA 5 being released soon for PC soon, doing a GTA 5 styled trailer is a good move. I have to say. This Witcher 3 trailer is fucking good, not because of “coping GTA5” but because we are shown a lot about the game.
I think CDPR’s is better than the GTA 5 trailer.
I can’t stop watching this new Witcher 3 trailer. It’s just so good. I need to fuck off till May 19th.
