David Jaffe has been giving us his colourful opinions on God of War 3 over at his personal blog and while people can rightly point to the fact that David is a dedicated PlayStation fan I don’t think that takes away from his vocal feelings about God of War 3.

I have to say I am stupidly excited about this game and have been dying for it to come out ever since I put down God Of War 2.

I think GOW3 is like any of the big games that were hugely successful (Gears, Halo, Resistance etc) if all they do is take the previous one and pretty it up a bit it’ll still impress people due to the fact that the previous one was so good.
Still, i’m more excited about the next Team ICO game. They could wrap up one of their turds and i’d still buy it.

I loved the first one and Chains of Olympos (PSP one) but never got a chance to play the second one.
But if Chains of Olympos is any indication then I think the 3rd iteration will be really good.

i predict sony will introduce a price cut come jan/feb. their sales are up and they have a good line up of games.
and i reckon next year they’ll introduce another sku or two at better price points.
or i could just be talking out my rear 😀

God of War 3 and MGS4 were the main motivation behind me forking out the extra cash for the PS3, so far I haven’t been disappointed. Can’t wait for this game.

Of course it’s going to look better!God of War 3 is coming out ATLEAST a year from now FFS (it’s reported to be releasing Q4 of 2009!)Damn that David Jeffe guy irritates me and no David,swearing is not cool!

Rumours, and sony said no price cut. Fact is the yen is now a lot stronger than what it was and in effect they are loosing more money now with sales in uk and us because of it, so expect a price cut only next year around october.

Skyrocket even more ? Evidence suggests that the PS3 sales (taking the time of year into consideration) has taken a bit of a dip because of the economy.
Sony is unfortunately in a tricky position at the moment because of the business model. If you sell a product at a loss the more of it you sell the bigger the losses you make.
MS strategy revolves around selling at break even / small profit and generate revenue from Software and Xbox live.
Wii is just a money making machine disguised as a gaming console.
Sony’s best strategy might be to acknowledge that the PS3 will never emulate the PS2 and concentrate on bringing costs down and focus on profitability rather than market share

It’s being developed and published by Sony.. So no, it’s not coming to xbox.
