I have a feeling Google are trying to take over the world. They are the king of all the search engines and they now too have their own internet browser, Google Chrome. Now they are going for one of the most successful content distribution systems in the world, Steam.

According to reports, Google are imminently close to a take-over of Valve. With Valve comes Steam, and with Steam, Google will have the power of an already established content distribution system at the ready.

Some people may remember Steam from the Half-Life 2 days when it was the enemy and everybody hated it. Steam is much more than that nowadays, it brings a ton of digital content to your finger tips.

This can only be a good thing for everybody, Google are slowly working their way to becoming the biggest company in the digital world and the one that takes us forwards. Microsoft must beware because Google are the new big boys in town.
