Gran Turismo 6 to be announced tomorrow

The official PlayStation blog has stated that they have a busy week ahead with some intriguing game announcements planned. The posting was made on the 5th of May which means that between Sunday and Sunday we can expect a game announcement of some sort.

Well I hate to be the guy who ruins the surprise but that game announcement will be Gran Turismo 6 and we will be getting the official announcement tomorrow.

The much loved racing title has long been rumoured to be a PlayStation 4 launch title and all that I’m interested in right now is whether or not the title will also release on the PlayStation 3 (Spoiler: yes, yes it will)

Oh and how am I so sure that it will be Gran Turismo 6? For one the cover art and release date have already been leaked so there is very little point trying to hold onto this surprise. The word on the inside is that GT6 will definitely be revealed before Microsoft’s event on the 21st of May.  Also, the official Gran Turismo website is receiving a major makeover that will be revealed on the 8th of May. Coincidence? Probably not.

In the court of law this circumstantial evidence wouldn’t hold up but it is looking pretty likely that we are going to see the unveiling of the next big racer tomorrow.

Now to take bets on whether or not it will be horrifically delayed and miss the PlayStation 4 launch by a country mile.

Some says he is currently playing Forza, and some say he is doing it in reverse.

FoxOneZA… there’s nothing good on my profile except FIFA 13 and GoW 3.

TY, I had a feeling it was destined to be a second installment on the current Gen. hardware.

I’d love to see GT6 announced soon. Unfortunately your prime evidence (the box art, release date) has been thoroughly debunked as fake. (Google search.) A thanksgiving release, hmm that would be interesting…

…I’m just going to point out…

“For one the cover art and release date have already been leaked so there is very little point trying to hold onto this surprise.”

Yeah, uhh, that is OBVIOUSLY fake cover art. There is NO WAY PD got access to Porsche – EA has a tight grip on it’s exclusive license deal. This is fan-art. All GT games have had a blank background with a car or brand close to the company (GM, Nissan, RedBull, Ford, Acura, etc.) The cover art that was “leaked” had european ratings on it, yet it was being retailed for US stores. This was simply a false leak by a retailer that was taken as fact. The same thing happened with GT5 last time around.
