Grand Theft Watch Doges

42 second read

What happens when you take the darling of the open world sandbox genre, Grand Theft Auto, and mash it together with the new boy on the block, Watch Dogs? And if that isn’t enough you shove a pile of Doge memes into it.

Well you end up with this truly bizarre video created by RavenwestR1 – which is essentially a shot for shot recreation of Watch Dogs’ launch trailer in GTA IV’s engine.

I did giggle at the fact that IGN is the only legit website mentioned in the games quotes, nice little dig that. What other gaming mashups do you want to see? I’d love to see FIFA combined with Street Fighter as well as Mortal Kombat mashed up with Skyrim

Even though the driving in GTA 4 sucked a little, it is so much better than the driving in Watch Dogs.

That video just made me want to go drive the Dukes and Tampa around in GTA 4 and not buy Watch dogs.

For now, yes, no proper DRM on consoles but consoles do have a small degree of DRM.

But it is pretty clear that Microsoft and Sony wants to push full hardcore DRM on consoles.

24 hour DRM check-in, is the future, for consoles.

Well MS had that, then had to get rid of it because the community said stuff that. So hoping they will not do another 180. And yes, DO NOT support DRM.

But you still have to log in to activate the Bone out of the box. Thats DRM in my book. Not to mention the push for 1st party on-line only games.

Season passes, redeem codes and DLC are all a big DRM Trojan Horse.

You telling me. Give it a few years until ALL games require a day one mandatory patch. You see how they penalise those who are not interested in signing in for U-PLAY or the like by optimising the game further after release?

So you haven’t played Watch Dogs? Yet you know all about the driving?

        Yes and yes.

The driving in Watch Dogs sucks. I don’t need to play the game to know that. Don’t assume that I haven’t seen how vehicles behave in the game, when all I’ve cared about in all those trailers and game play videos, is the driving aspect of the game.

GTA 4 was not perfect but that was heading in the right direction when it came to driving.

The driving in Watch Dogs can be compared to the driving in Sleeping Dogs, Just Cause, Saint Rows, GTA 3 (lol), Crackdown, ect.

It’s 2014 and they should be getting the driving aspect of open world games right by now.

I haven’t bought Watch Dogs so I guess I don’t know that it comes with DRM.

        Don’t support DRM.
