Ground Zeroes coming to PC in December?

Against my better judgement, I bought Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes earlier this year. This was after weeks of me slamming the game for basically being a paid, glorified demo. After playing it for several hours I’ll definitely agree that it’s worth the small price tag, something which hopefully won’t change for the upcoming PC launch. Which could, in fact, be happening soon.

If a handful of Russian sources are to be taken seriously, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes could launch on Steam come December 18th, after Hideo Kojima revealed the port earlier this year. These sources, gathered on NeoGAF, claim to have received the information at this past weekend’s IgroMir Expo, the Russian show that is always stealing the spotlight from our very own rAge.

Since then, Konami hasn’t said a word. I expect an announcement to to made relatively soon, especially since we know for sure that The Phantom Pain is coming next year sometime. It would make sense for Ground Zeroes to launch on PC well before that, and Kojima is no stranger to throwing up release dates out of nowhere.

Ground Zeroes is a single, self-contained slice from The Phantom Pain which sets up the events that will follow in the main game. It has a surprising amount of replay value, and I’ve often found myself going back to it for a short Metal Gear Solid fix. It’s still a demo at heart, but I highly doubt any Metal Gear Solid fan would feel as though they wasted their money on it.

  1. What is Metal Gear Solid? Is that a sequel to Brutal Legend?

Bought it on sale!! If I paid the full price for it I would not have been as happy as you are!! Yes it has a lot of replay value for some people, me? Nope not so much, played it once then played a few mission after that and done!! 2,5 hours for R233 is ok with me. But then again bought Child of Light for about the same amount of money and it is a way better buy in my opinion….

Child of Light is worth twice as much as Ground Zeros. And I would pay that amount as well.

I am quite concerned that The Phantom Pain is going to be just another console port poorly optimized for the pc.
And that sucks because this game definitely looks awesome
