That’s right… absolutely nothing!
Respawn Entertainment, the company made up of pretty much everyone that used to work for Infinity Ward before that whole Activision lawsuit mess, have announced that they will have nothing to announce at E3.
Bummer? I think so.
When we were at E3 last year, Infinity Ward’s previous head honchos Vince Zampella and Jason West were still fresh out of the fighting match between them and the Hobbit in charge of Activision, Bobby Kotick (seriously, I saw him in real life, he is like 4 feet tall). Ok, so less Hobbits more news… Vince and Jason had only just gone through the whole mess, so it was understandable that Respawn had nothing to show.
It’s a year later though, and we are talking about a team made up of pretty much everyone responsible for the single greatest selling video game franchise of all time, and they don’t have anything to show us? Nothing to announce? Seriously, not even some concept art, or a name?
They made the simple announcement via their Twitter feed, saying:
“For those asking, Respawn won’t be making any announcements at #E3 this year. We will be wandering the floor though!”
It’s disappointing to see nothing, especially when we don’t even have one little clue about what they are going to be doing next. Heck, we don’t know if their next game is going to be a shooter or a puzzle game for iPhone.
It’s possible that they are waiting to announce something at another show, or they are even just a little behind… but we will have to wait and see.
