Guitar Hero Live’s latest tracks will take the High Road

Some days, I think I may not be the rock god that I imagine myself to be. Or at least, I may be part of a pantheon of heavy metal deities who have failed to keep up with the times. Tight leather pants, enough hair to be mistaken for a shrubbery and the barest of mid-riffs that show off my impressive beer belly just ain’t enough to be a hit with impressionable kids who need to buy my merchandise so that we don’t fade into obscurity. I mean, who the hell are these bands in Guitar Hero Live?

Here’s the latest list of bands and tracks who’ll be headed to Guitar Hero Live. I actually recognise some of them. The other bands have me scratching my head in rockin’ befuddlement however. Hey, that might make for a catchy song!

  • Royal Blood – Little Monster
  • Marilyn Manson – Disposable Teens
  • Killswitch Engage – In Due Time
  • Marmozets – Move Shake Hide
  • Of Mice & Men – Bones Exposed
  • Deftones – Diamond Eyes
  • Vista Chino – Sweet Remain
  • Bring Me the Horizon – Shadow Moses
  • Mastodon – High Road
  • Trivium – Strife

Who are these other bands? Are they hard-rockin’ amigos? Are they worthy to lift my Zippo and wield the power of mighty D? Can they air-guitar with the best? Are their leather pants tight enough to cut off the circulation of blood in their extremities? These are questions which must be answered, once I’ve gathered enough prayer power from horns being thrown, to finally send a lightning bolt at Justin Bieber. Rock on folks, rock on.

Music has mostly died for me, not sure when but it was around the turn of the century.

I only read this article because of Mastodon. They are maximum. That is all.

That is actually a solid list of modern metal bands. I think they are great additions.

Can’t forget that the game needs to still appeal to the masses. So while us metal-heads would like to see more of our favourite bands, the devs need to keep the game accessible to those with inferior music tastes too!

Trivium is one of my favourite bands, but Strife isn’t one of my favourite songs. Still good though.

Strife is definitely the best song from the latest album! But I’m more of a Shogun fan. Great band still. Saw them at RamFest last year!

They really were!! But I felt Killswitch were the better performers, which kinda sucks because I like Trivium more. Their sound was better as well!
