I think as mere mortals we sometimes forget how large certain things are, I for example cannot fathom how large or deep the ocean is. It freaks me out and unsettles me whenever I think about… that may be a severe psychological problem but I can live with it.
On the other hand we all know that Halo 3 is a popular game, but have you ever sat down and just thought about it for a bit? Well Microsoft Aaron Greenberg has and in conjunction with the NPD figures he has realised that Halo 3 has outsold Sony’s top titles combined.
He recently tweeted
“Halo 3 has outsold both Resistance 1 and 2, Uncharted 1 and 2, Killzone 2 and God of War III combinedâ€
It’s the word ‘combined’ that gets me, Uncharted 1 and 2 and Killzone 2 are the leading titles on the PS3 when it comes to FPS/TPS shooters and to think that when you add all the numbers together they were still outsold by Halo 3 is pretty impressive no matter which side of the fence you are squatting on.
The only question remaining now is what are those exact figures and will Halo Reach be able to continue the Halo franchises great success?

First of all you can’t talk about sale in Japan or anywhere else because out sold all other countries in every one of those games except for Final Fantasy second just take look back to halo series before these games actually released just their pre-orders alone damn there beat any one of Sony’s exclusives, just the halo reach beta play hours probably had more playTime hours than Drake and resistance put together.

What makes a better game to you, to me I think gameplay and online experience it gives you. If a game makes you play hours, days, and even months then yeah I consider that a better game than most now tell me how many people you see now that’s playing Drake and resistance online not much I bet, killzone still has good numbers right now. Sony’s exclusives sells because of their great single player campaign (killzone, God of war, Drake, metal gear) but so does Microsoft ( gears, halo, mass effect, etc) so only reason Microsoft the exclusives beating Sony’s is the online experience because that’s the only thing left after a good end to a campaign.

With every single delay theyve added a new feature whether crash damage, adding Rally, adding Nascar, adding motion, adding car channels, improving the graphics all the time, adding head tracking and tons of content because they only plan to release one GT game this gen with tons massive DLC updates and yet you still complain and complain. Dear Nick just because you play alot of gt5 does not mean you support the game, ive played more solitare than uncharted 2,1 and alot of other games, but i dont respect or care much for the game.
The mere fact that you have to justify your supposed love for gt by the hours you played just show that you went through the motions. if you were a true gt fanboy, you would have mentioned your love for the tracks, how you used to struggle to stay awake during endurance races, how the san francisco track in gt3 was the best ever etc…i have only ever heard you refer specifically about forza gameplay and online, you have never spoken about whats in the actual game of gt5, all you do is tabloid report! but since forza is so kind and treats you guys so well you seem obligated to have forza competiions, ive never seen a gt5 prologue competition and the online has been fixed ages ago, theres an active community and the drifting competitions are wayyyy more intense than forza 3!

@Nick: Hey im with you that 90% of the games released are crap on Wii and im 50/50 on motion control thats why i purchased myself a beautiful new Wii classic controller pro. Monster hunter plays better with it and so will Xenoblade and many others that are finally starting to get more classic controller support. Im just saying i dont see many Wii reviews or previews about some great upcoming games like Metroid, the Rumoured new Zelda, The Last Story from the father of Final Fantasy Skaguchi, Xenoblade which has been getting great reviews in Japan and many other helpful Nintendo articles. All i see is 90% of space wasted on crap nobody cares about when it comes to Wii. Believe me i get that Nintendo suck even more than MS ( Chill fanboys i mean support for Xbox Live ) in South Africa because the games come out months late and its proabably difficult for you guys to get any sort of Nintendo contact or support in SA but hey it would be nice if Gavin gave us some great opinion pieces if he was such a big Nintendo fan. Get into contact with Nintedno distributors to find out why they suck in our country like you did with MS SA or will it upset the little Xbox groupies like Ewe and Eeys? There have been tons of videos released. Every month a new feature gets added like head tracking, Nascar, Rally or 3D support. They released a demo on PSN a couple of months back that let you win a trip to somwehre i forget and drive awesome cars. Theres lots of news circulating. The game is coming out this year, You know it and i know it. You are the biggest car nut on here and can tell us whether something like Head Tracking can improve your gameplay experience. Arent one of you going to E3? Hell thats a news blowout right there. Anyways like i said ill give you a break on GT5. Im not trying to change your mind so if you dont like anything of what you see than post it. Give us your thoughts on what cool feature from Forza could improve GT5 like that cool car car painting mechanic where you design your own cars. Hell i would love to see that in GT5.
Oh yes and give ModNation some coverage. Just like Alan Wake the game really deserves to be selling better. It really is fun despite some shitty load times. Create a track and share it with us if you have the game i mean.

People think I am such a Forza nut… I’m not, I’m a car nut so I like playing driving games. I’m really no Forza expert, it came out, I enjoy playing it and life carries on. I’m also incredibly pumped for Test Drive Unlimited 2, not for the physics but the cars and environments.
We get a lot thrown our way everyday, so we don’t always see everything GT related all the time.

We do still take the mickey out of the game for being delayed so many times, but seriousy, it’s taken a while now.

It’s kinda awkward to be honest, why let these crummy videos out when they could rather be giving us HD videos of the games new engine to show off to the readers? Really doesn’t make any sense to me.
