Halo 5: Guardians gets two pricey special editions

I’ve been playing me some of that Halo 5: Guardians lately, thanks to a multiplayer beta period that came with the Master Chief Collection. And you know what? It ain’t bad at all. The game has definitely picked up a faster pace, and the iron-sights’ aiming isn’t as sacrilegious as that maniac dressed in a Master Chief costume who is ranting on my street corner would have you believe. I’ll rope Sandy into a podcast about the beta soon enough, but in the meantime here’s a look at the pricy special editions for the game.

Halo 5: Guardians will arrive in the usual vanilla, chocolate and Lindt flavours. Here’s what you can find inside of them according to Xbox:

  • Standard Edition for $59.99 – Halo 5: Guardians plus an exclusive poster, only available to those who pre-order.
  • Limited Edition for $99.99 – Everything in the Standard Edition plus new digital content to enhance Spartan combat and exclusive items wrapped in a uniquely designed steel book.
  • Limited Collector’s Edition for $249.99 – Everything in the Limited Edition as well as additional content such as a commemorative numbered statue designed by 343 Industries. More details on the design to be shared at a later date.
  • Enh, not bad but nothing special really. I’ll stick to vanilla personally. I’m enjoying the beta right now. I’m absolutely terrible at it mind you, but so far the slice of the game features none of the lag and all of the action. It also looks prettier than a Ferrari exhibition and runs even smoother.

There’s something about those 4v4 matches of Slayer where the game really shines, and the maps are focused on this, forcing players into confrontations and tight firefights. I think longtime Halo fans are going to be happy with the end result, while the Call Of Duty crowd will find themselves at home in this game.

What about the absolute, stupendous, ultra-limited edition, one-of-a-kind molekin version? How much is that?!

Just to be clear, this is NOT “according to Xbox”, http://news.xbox.com is not an official Xbox website and is not managed by Microsoft.
