Halo Reach

Bungie have revealed that their swan song into the world of Halo, Halo: Reach, will be released on the 14th of September.

I can’t think of any other titles that have a similar release date at the moment but if they exist we can expect them to announce a delay or that they are coming early in the next while.

Love it or hate it Halo is a monster in terms of sales and marketing power and only the incredibly brave or incredibly foolish will attempt to go directly up against it.

I can’t wait to see who decides to try their luck this year.

You right, Halo is a bohemoth franchise and sells loads (never underestimate the power of stupid people gathered in large numbers). Killzone is still the better title though, regardless of how many less sales it has.

If Halo has one thing going for it, it’s there incredible backend systems that help build the community. I can logon to Bungie.net now and see the full details of the last Halo game I played over 18 months ago.

The amount of information they store is astounding, you can see stats on exactly where and how all the kills occured on the map.

It’s just a pity the game itself has never gotten me hooked

Halo Reach was unveiled at E3 last year. Best way to get the hype train going.

Even though I saw this post about 12 hours too late Lans, you would also be happy to know that there was so much Killzone 3 buzz happening on the net that I gave it its own friggin’ category in the In Other News post.

My pleasure, no really, please, don’t mention it. Really.

thank you nick the news was awesome, but i so it too late, i really like killzone, bought every single dlc, my only problem will killzone is that i dont have adsl at home at killzone consumes 100mb an hour on 3g is very not affordable, and if you dont have the best possible connection the game is a bit frustrating
