Haze delayed – Again…

47 second read

I will see if I can find some great PS3 news before Christmas since this is obviously going to disappoint a fair many of you.

It is being reported this morning that Haze, the highly anticipated PS3 shooter, has been delayed… again… Originally scheduled for November 2007 and then delayed until January 2008…

Now, it looks like it has delayed further by 3 months. Several online retailers have confirmed this, such as Amazon.com and BestBuy.com, indicating a released towards the later half of March.

Which isn’t that bad apart from it is now going to be released right after the highly anticipated Killzone 2 and at the same time as Grand Theft Auto… ouch…

If this is true it may end up meaning that Haze never makes the impact that was expected of it.

Amazon has probably had a March placeholder date for Haze since it was delayed in the first place, like many oher retailers including SA’s Take 2 – besides, if Ubi hasn’t yet announced a more specific launch window than ‘Q1 2008,’ (FACT!!!) how can it be delayed again?

Play has a Jan release date, so does Ubi’s UK store, so it may still arrive in January:

Sheesh, it’s funny how all of this is turned into anti-PS3 spin when many Xbox 360 games have also come out a lot later than most people expected…..

Another game delayed for the PS3? There are no decent games out for it at the moment. I mean what’s the killer game for Christmas for the PS3: “The buggy Orange Box”?
Xbox is totally kicking it in terms of games.

Well I am in the posistion of having all the games I interested in on the Xbox, 20 to be exact, and was looking at getting a PS3 for some variaty. Whilst it does have quite a few games most of the multiplats that interest me I alreedy own on the Xbox so that leaves exlusives. For me that is like 5 games that are of some interest, 3 of which probably would not even look at had they been on the Xbox. So yeah, for me the PS3 is pretty gameless.

The meme of it having no games is not outdated, no far from that, it just lacks the “power” so to speak that it once had. The PS3 is still gameless to a degree when talking about Xbox 360 Exclusives vs PS3 Exclusives.

I own a 360 and a PS3, and the PS3 is accounting for a growing chunk of my gaming time, thanks to recent releases like Uncharted, Unreal Tournament 3, R&C, etc etc etc.

For many people who arrogantly proclaim that the PS3 has “no games”, what they mean is that it has no games that appeal to their usually limited tastes.

I don’t care much for the sort of games that the Wii has, but does that mean the Wii has “no games?” I’m saying no, even though the Wii has far fewer high-scoring games than the PS3 does, saved basically only by Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy.

Personally, I like Uncharted much more than Bioshock, but ultimately it comes down to personal taste. People who say the PS3 has “no games” are generally trying to force their taste on others.

Uncharted, UT3 and R&C:TOD are exactly the games I would buy had I had a PS3. Oh and FolkLore would be top of the list. But Haze, it might be good but it will probably be just another shooter with a gimick. Hope I am wrong though.

Firstly JimBob & Fred stop being such friggin ‘tard kneejerks. The article in no way said the PS3 has no games, all it says is that Haze, which is currently “exclusive” has been delayed, which is sad news only for PS3 owners, because no one else cares.

If this was Mass Effect, or Bioshock, or Alan wake or Fable you could copy paste 360 for PS3 and it’d read exactly the same.

Don’t be such lame fanboys, leave it to the experts. 😉

    Rofl at the PS3 trolls.

Hows the heck is the post anti-PS3? It’s a PS3 “exclusive”. It’s delayed, it’s only bad for the PS3, because no one else cares!

If it had been, Alan Wake or Fable you could copy and paste 360 for PS3 and it’d read exactly the same.

Oh and PS3 fans – The 360 fans will stop mentioning “No games” when you stop mentioning “RRoD”. Think about it…..
