Writer

So yesterday I sent out a tweet saying that we are looking for a new writer and was amazed at the amount of responses I received asking for more information so as requested here is the extra information.

Nothing is ever final so take what you see below as a guideline and let me know if you are really still interested.

So the position is a part-time staff writer for Lazygamer, you will be expected to produce 3 news stories a day, click here for an example of length and what constitutes a basic news story.

However you can trade in 2 or 3 of those news stories for a featured article such as this or a review.

In return for that you will be rewarded with some free games (that you will need to review), a small monthly pay check (R2000), the possibility of going to game launches and expo’s and the honour of working on South Africa’s biggest and best and most awesome of all awesome gaming websites.

So that’s about it, if you are still interested drop me an email (gavin@lazygamer.co.za) and let me know why you are perfect for the job. Please include some writing that you have done (if you haven’t ever written anything then make something up) and anything else that you feel you can bring to the team.

Experience is not required but obviously will be a benefit, any skills in graphic design, video, podcasting, social media, curling, php, mysql, porn, blogging, advertising, CPR or anything else you think is awesome should be mentioned.

Oh and also make sure you tell me where in SA or the world you are based.

Comprehension skills are required for this job.
It says so right in the post.

Also, if you’re looking to go in to games writing just for the money, then you’re parking up the wrong tree.

Now, I would have offered my unique skills 🙂 But unfortunately I’m still a scholar so would only have been able to write articles after 3. Maybe in a few years’ time 🙂
