Harley Quinn is getting her own story mode in Batman: Arkham Knight

Harley

By now, you’ve heard me wax lyrical on how Batman: Arkham Knight will be one of the best games of 2015, if ever. I’ bias as hell, I’ll admit it but that’s a good thing in my case. You won’t just get to be the Batman in the final Rocksteady game however. You’ll also get a chance to be the main squeeze of the Joker, Harley Quinn.

Thanks to pre-orders for Arkham Knight having been around for a few months already, knowledge of a Harley Quinn bonus haven’t exactly been a secret. Here’s the original pre-order banner, which offered players a chance to step up to bat as the loony shrink in a four-map challenge DLC pack:

That image is soooo 2014. Here’s the new pre-order page picture, which describes the Harleen Quinzell content being augmented with some narrative content instead “the Harley Quinn Story Pack”, that will allow players to “utilize her unique weapons, gadgets and abilities”.

So, a story-mode with Harley Quinn in the lead? I have a feeling that Gavin is going to steal this game away from me. This isn’t the first time that an Arkham game has allowed players to be someone other than the caped crusader. Arkham Asylum allowed you to use the Joker in challenge maps, Arkham City has Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing added to the mix while Arkham Origins had the pre-order bonus of allowing you to go take on a hundred goons as the deadly mercenary Deathstroke.

How the Harley Quinn DLC will work is beyond me, but I’m just hoping that it includes the Harleymobile.

I dunno, I didn’t really enjoy playing as Catwoman in AC, hope this is better than that was.

The only reason I get excited for Batman games now is the inevitable action figures and statues that will follow… YEEEAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

They advertise DLC before the game is released.
We all said this day will come.

Give it a few years and you will be paying $40 for the first level. OOOooops too soon.

Well, There is a reason WHY Day 1 DLC exists, It has to do with workflow in the studio, deadlines, and well, Money yes…. I’m Personally not a fan, but this Video helped me see the other side (well from a Dev’s perspective)

The worst thing is that I am one of the rare gamers who replay games weekly and never get bored. Yet I will not buy into DLC.

If the product is not fully envisioned because of off shoot DLC then Im not buying it.

Scrap DLC. Get rid of DLC. SKINS, CHARACTERS, DIFFICULTY LEVELS, EXTRA WEAPONS, STORY BRANCHES should all be in the final product.

I knew it was going downhill after the shit ending of Fable 2 because they moved their resources over to the fable DLC and let the game go gold with a GAME BREAKING bug that PETER the PUMPKIN eater said they will Iron out with a day 1 patch.

The internet screwed the quality of games one love.

Javick didnt really add anything to the story and was possibly my least used/interacted with character.
the only thing that was cool was “holyshit, prothean :O”

Well… I think this has become standard practise… how about we start our own comment dlc franchise, then we can do comments that eventually disappoint everyone… for a price of course…

I don’t like her face. Its too long. The slightly rounder face worked better. This one looks like a horse. It might also just be the angle she is standing at.
