Huge graphical improvements in MGS4 Trailer

MGS4 graphical improvement Some intrepid soul has stepped through that new MGS4 trailer and the old trailer and put together a very nice comparison of the two.

The graphical improvements appear to be huge and the level of detail has been ramped up incredibly.

Hopefully this is sign of good things to come from MGS4.

I know for a lot of people June cannot come soon enough, expect the marketing blitz to come into it’s own once the GTA IV launch has come and gone…

Click the image at the top for a better view or the link at the bottom for all the comparisons.

Damn, and I was ignoring the new trailer PSN got this week.

If all the cutscenes are running realtime like they claim, then that is a nice boost 😀

I don’t agree. The new screens look like they use newer lighting, but the models look harder. Apart from that, though, there doesn’t seem that much of a difference.

I also prefer the one on the left, as far as it being realtime, I doubt it if they’re pushing 50Gb on the disc.

Basically all cutscenes in all the previous MGS games where realtime.

Apparently the cutscenes in MGS4 is “interactive” aswell ( sortof like in 3 ) where you can view it different angles/perspectives and pan around. ( one of the ways you unlock drebin points or something )

So no pre-rendered cutscenes, except for classic “documetary/explanation” segments the games seem to have.

The game’s massive size come from the history segments where gamers can press a button to view where a certain character comes from in the previous games.
