Weekly sale

I love the Humble site. Humble Bundles are awesome, and the store also often has fantastic sales. This week’s Weekly Sale is worth every penny – if you don’t have these games, you should definitely pick it up.

You can pay any price you want and grab: Thomas was Alone, Puzzle Bots, Dustforce, VVVVVV and Cate Story+. Most of you probably already have Thomas was Alone – it has been in tons of Humble Bundles. However, if you haven’t gotten it by now, this is a perfect opportunity to pick it up. It was one of my favorite gaming experiences from last year.

If you pay $6 or more, you will also get: Reus, Limbo, Cthulhu Saves the World, Mutant Mudds Deluxe, Lone Survivor and Element4l. I might just have to get this bundle simply to play Reus – I still haven’t played it and it looks fantastic.

$6 for 11 indie games? That sounds more than reasonable. Even if you only end up playing two or three games from this bundle (that is the average, right? I’m not the only one who ignores some of the bundled games, am I?) that is $2-3 per game enjoyed. Not too shabby.

Are you a fan of bundles and sales, or has your backlog become something so large it is to be feared? I used to buy any bundle that looked good, but lately i’m holding back – I have so many unplayed games at the moment, I really need to make time to play some of them. Besides, I know more great sales will come around. That said, I really may need to pick up this bundle – all these games for that low price. How can I say no?

I own almost all of those already… Please just don’t ask if I have played or even installed them all.

    I may have a problem.

I meant tasks I actively think about.
If you include the automatic ones…
There are 640 named muscles in the body and even more unnamed ones… So over 1000 tasks simultaneously.

I followed my normal Humble Bundle routine:

    Step 1) Excitement
Step 2) Realisation that I already own most of them
    Step 3) Disappointment

R63 for this bundle seems too good to be true

Edit: Oh wait I see the $10 option there for the last game

One does not simply buy a PC.

Good. Do it. PS: You don’t have to buy a R12k PC to play games. Don’t let people try to do that to you if you want to keep in a budget.

Aim for between R6k and R8k. No more than R9k max.

Unless you want a monster in which case R12k is good 🙂

            April 25, 2014 at 15:18

yeah actually the 750Ti is a solid card too. Actually probably best to go for a 7 series. Sheesh I’m out of touch with hardware lately

            Depends on your budget.

Entry level gaming: 750 ti or r7260x give or take R2300

add R1300 and you can get a R9280x from wootware at R3600. That thing is a monster.

          • Unavengedavo

            April 25, 2014 at 15:40

I usually went for entry level and always got screwed over when I wanted to play a game. Think I should rather invest in a decent card?

          • Uberutang

            April 25, 2014 at 15:49

IF you have the xtra money, go for the higher card, but those 2 cards are very very solid. Friend runs BF4 on High/1080 on the R7260x.
