You know it’s a great time to be a gamer when your list of honoury mentions includes names like Halo 3, Eternal Sonata, Unreal Tournament 3 and Crysis just to name a few.
One of the head honchos over at IGN has written down his most anticipated games that will hit our consoles before the end of the year and what a list it is.
10) Rock Band (Multi)
09) The Orange Box (Multi)
08) Grand Theft Auto IV (Multi)
07) Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune (PS3)
06) Heavenly Sword (PS3)
05) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Multi)
04) Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
03) Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3)
02) Mass Effect (X360)
01) BioShock (Multi)
I have bolded the ones I cannot live without plus I still have to get Army of Two as well….

In the top 10 games list he has missed Halo 3, UT3, Assasin’s Creed, Blue Dragon, PGR4, Clive Barker’s Jericho & Mercenaries 2 amongst the other outstanding titles to be available.
How much of a gamer is he really? 😉

I would agree with the list. Maybe just swap CoD4 with Crysis.

Hmmmm… strange to see only One xbox 360 game there, Ps3 has 3+the multi-platformed games… Still It’s a good year to be a gamer

Scotty good point, it must however be noted that the editor was in charge of the playstation section of the site before being promoted so he does know more about those titles.
That takes nothing away from the PS3’s great lineup though….

Well the xbox titles do tend to get PC release too. I think in the console only comparisions they’d consider Bioshock an exclusive. Anyway, good games all around, but also very surprised at the exclusion of Halo 3 in the top three. (Personally, not a Halo fan, but still surprised)
